Diane La Rose : Artist

Diane La Rose's paintings are easily recognizable for their detailed fabric rendering and their vibrant presentation of the ornate. Her love affair with two dimensional ornamentation can be traced back to her preteen years when she won a national award with her lavish color pencil interpretation of a Russian icon.

After studying at the Center for Creative Studies and obtaining her BFA in painting and Advertising Design, Diane pursued with considerable success a career in art direction and freelance illustration. She has several national design awards and a couple of books in her portfolio.

Diane's current works on canvas in which she invests an unfashionable amount of time reflects the skill and imagination that has made her paintings sought after by collectors who are looking for strong work by a gifted and dedicated artist.

When asked about her work, its powerful yet subtle spiritual sense and its symbolism, she declines to translate her vision into words. "That, she says, would rob the viewer of their own vision."
